White miso or shiro-miso in Japanese is sweeter, and less salty than red miso.

You can easily cook many kinds of miso soups by varying the vegetables, shells or condiments to mix with: onions and potatoes, wakame and tofu, clams, turnips ... Just boil water, incorporate the ingredients to cook, then over low heat dilute some miso according to your tastes. It’s ready!

Original idea: For appetizer, try dips with mayonnaise flavored with some miso. It's simple and delicious!
